Stop Using “Dear” For People Who Are Not In Your Circle – Toke Makinwa

Media personality Toke Makinwa has come out to issue a PSA to people who randomly use the word “dear” for people without having a relationship with them. The OAP in a tweet shared that nothing makes her cringe like when people use the word for her especially when she is not friends with the people in question.

She shared that the word is an endearment and should only be used for people who are in your circle. Toke mentioned that people who don’t know her well should just address her by her first name or say hello to her when they meet her.
