MEET Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala’s Family Of Academicians Who Graduated From Havard University

The Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has a family of high academicians.

Her husband and her four children including herself graduated from the prestigious Havard University.

With her being an economist, her husband who is known as Dr. Ikemba Iweala is a renowned Neurosurgeon.

Her four children have the following qualifications;

Dr. Onyinye Iweala (MD, PhD) is an assistant professor of medicine.
Uzodinma Iweala (MD) is an author and medical doctor.
Okechukwu Iweala is a songwriter and singer
Uchechi Iweala (MD, MBA) is an orthopaedic surgeon.

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was finally been confirmed as the next Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO).

She was confirmed as the next Director-General at a special general council meeting which was held today.

Taking to their official Twitter handle, she was announced in a tweet which reads;

“BREAKING: Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala from Nigeria is appointed as the next WTO Director-General.

Dr. Okonjo-Iweala makes history as the first woman and the first African to lead the WTO.

Her term starts on the 1st of March 2021.
