Kim Kardashian Is Officially A Billionaire Now

We all know the Kardashians and Jenners are rich as hell and always have been. Between Keeping Up with the Kardashians, their various cosmetics/beauty/clothing lines, and all the crap they shill on social media, it’s pretty clear they make more money in a year than most of us will ever see in a lifetime. However, Kim Kardashian recently reached an ultra-elite status and is now officially a billionaire.

Kim Kardashian was raking in the cash in 2020. According to Forbes, Kim’s net worth in October 2020 was $780 million. That’s a literally insane amount of money and more than anyone needs. However, as of April 2021, she’s now worth $1 billion thanks to KUWTK, Skims, KKW Beauty, and all the other endorsements she has. That’s nuts!

She’s now overtaken Kylie Jenner on the list. Kylie didn’t make the list this time around. In fact, she was never really part of it. While she was originally named to the billionaires club last year, after her tax return documents were examined, that was rescinded and she’s now worth a cool $700 million herself.

Other people may have been struggling during the pandemic, but not Kim. Instead of seeing her livelihood falter in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kim Kardashian’s net worth went through the roof. However, she told Vogue that she’s used the pandemic to really do some personal reflection. “I think that this year has been so challenging for so many people. But I also think that this year was a huge cleanse. Just a huge opportunity for people to really be grateful for the simple things. And that is a huge, I think, awakening that so many people had.”

It’s such a shame this family doesn’t do more with their money. Instead of buying more jewelry, cars they’ll never drive to paste all over social media, and new mansions all around the world, it would be lovely if they gave more of their cash away to organizations that support those who truly need it. The Kardashians are far from the only ones at fault when it comes to hoarding wealth while so many are suffering, but the fact that they seem to do so little and have so much more than they could ever possibly need is a bit depressing.
