In a bid to tackle the insecurity eating up the nation, President Buhari has approved the establishment of the National Centre for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons NCCSALW.
The President gave the approval today at the resumption of the Security Council meeting today 3rd May, which he chaired at the State House in Abuja. Buhari Approves National Centre For Arms And Weapons Control Establishment
The meeting had been adjourned till today 4th May on Friday 30th April, with the President making it abundantly clear that while the insurgents, bandits and criminals are still at it, he has no doubt that the Nigerian Security agencies and Nigeria as a nation will certainly overcome all the current security problems and defeat the forces of evil marauding about in different parts of the country.

In an update given via the Presidency’s official Twitter handle, the new establishment is said to be domiciled in the office of the NSA. “Security Meeting resumes. Pres @MBuhari presiding, at the State House. #AsoVillaToday. The President has just approved the establishment of a National Centre for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons (NCCSALW)—to be domiciled in the Office of the National Security Adviser“, the tweet reads.
