Female Vicar Sexually Abused 2 Young Girls When Babysitting Them As A Teenager, Trial Hears

A female vicar admitted exposing herself to two young girls when she was babysitting them as a teenager and asking one of them to squeeze her nipples “hard,” a criminal trial heard. Veronica Green, 58, is facing six charges against 5- and 11-year-old victims that date back to when Green was 13 years old. She now faces five counts of indecency with a child and one count of indecent assault, the Stoke Sentinel reports.

Green admitted certain offenses but denied others. While Green did admit that she exposed her naked body to one of the girls on one occasion, she insisted she never asked the girls to touch her, nor did she put her breasts into one of the girls’ mouths, as she was accused of doing. “I remember when we were sitting on a couch and I asked her to scratch my back. My sister and I shared a bedroom at the farmhouse. She used to ask me to scratch her back, which I did. I would say ‘is it my turn now?’”

She claims the whole scenario was more innocent than it seemed. At one point, Green admitted that she unhooked her bra while laying down on her stomach and that one of the victims went further down on her back. “I remember feeling awkward about it. I didn’t stop her from doing it,” Green recalled. “The second time she touched me I began to feel something and I didn’t stop her. The third time I was wanting her to touch me but I didn’t ask her to touch me.” She said she did, however, tell the girl to cup her breasts harder.

Green never believed that what she was doing was wrong. Given that Green herself was only 13 at the time of the crimes, she said she didn’t realize that anything about what happened was wrong until she became an adult. “I never presumed what had happened was bad until I became an adult. The things that I admitted to were never done with any intention to hurt or harm the girls. They were things that happened very naturally when I look back to the process of my changing,” she told the jury. “Neither of the girls or myself thought much had gone wrong. That’s how it felt like to me until my latter years. I never regarded what we did as anything too serious.”

Green was suspended by the Diocese of Chester after the allegations came to light. Green, who previously served as a reverend for Marbury, Tushingham, and Whitewell in Cheshire, has denied the criminal charges against her despite admitting that she did indeed expose herself to the girls. “I had no idea what I was doing. It was an act of discovering my body. I knew I was asking her to touch me in a particular place. I wanted her to do that because it was giving me feelings that I now recognize as sexual,” Green said. “I can look back now and say it was a sexual experience but not at that age.”

41-Year-Old Man Who Murdered A 4-Year-Old When He Was 13 Has Been Granted Parole

A 41-year-old man who savagely murdered a 4-year-old boy at the age of 14 has been granted parole after 27 years behind bars. Eric M. Smith was convicted of second-degree murder in 1994 after luring Derrick Robbie into the woods and hitting his head with a rock while the victim was on his way to a summer camp at a park in the Steuben County village of Savona in August 1993.

Smith admitted killing Robie all along. The widely publicized case was shocking, not least because of Smith’s young age at the time of the crime and the details of the horrible act he committed. He admitted to luring Robie to a wooded area after he’d been kicked out of that same summer camp. Next, he strangled the boy and dropped a rock on his head. He also admitted to sodomizing Robie with a stick to ensure he died.

Smith’s lawyer tried to claim that the teenager was mentally ill. At his original trial, Smith’s attorney attempted to argue diminished responsibility because of an undiagnosed mental illness. However, a judge didn’t buy it and he was given the maximum sentence for a criminal of his age, which was nine years to life in prison.

Smith did issue an apology to Robie and his family from prison. “I know my actions have caused a terrible loss in the Robie family, and for that, I am truly sorry. I’ve tried to think as much as possible about what Derrick will never experience: his 16th birthday, Christmas, anytime, owning his own house, graduating, going to college, getting married, his first child,” he said in a statement which he read out on TV. “If I could go back in time, I would switch places with Derrick and endure all the pain I’ve caused him. If it meant that he would go on living, I’d switch places, but I can’t.”

Robie’s parents have always opposed Smith’s release. Smith campaigned for parole roughly a dozen times throughout his 27 years behind bars and was turned down every single time. At each of those hearings, Robie’s parents, Dale and Doreen Robie, spoke out against Smith’s release. They’ve also been campaigning for parole reforms to extend the time between hearings for violent offenders.

Smith’s request for parole was finally granted. Appearing for the 11th time in front of the Board of Parole on October 5, Smith was told he would finally be allowed to leave prison. The Department of Corrections and Community Supervision said that he could be released as early as November 17.

Demi Lovato Says We Should Stop Calling Extraterrestrials ‘Aliens’ Because It’s Offensive

Published

Demi Lovato has some very… interesting opinions that they’ve been voicing lately, but their latest outcry is perhaps one of the most bizarre yet. The ‘Dancing with the Devil’ singer is campaigning against the idea of referring to extraterrestrial beings as “aliens” as they believe it’s extremely offensive to those who visit us from other planets. This despite the fact that the term has been used for many decades and is referring to beings that arguably don’t even exist.

Yes, calling other human beings “aliens” can be offensive. Referring to immigrants or refugees as “aliens” has a certain connotation that can be offensive as it implies that they don’t belong and are “othered.” However, using this term for, you know, mythical creatures of which there’s no proof they even exist (don’t tell Demi Lovato that) is a whole other matter.

Demi thinks we just need to call them extraterrestrials or ETs. When discussing visitors to Earth from other planets, we should welcome them by simply referring to them with more neutral language rather than using the term “aliens” even though any beings from other planets likely won’t even know what the hell “aliens” means or even think or speak in the same way we do here on Earth.

So why does Demi feel this way? As they told Pedestrian.TV in a recent interview, Demi said they think that the word “alien” is derogatory in any context, so it should be avoided at all costs. “I really think that if there was anything out there that would want to do that to us, it would have happened by now,” they said. “But, I think that we have to stop calling them aliens because aliens is a derogatory term for anything. That’s why I like to call them ETs! So yeah, that’s a little tidbit. A little information that I learned.”

By the way, Demi has a new TV show about extraterrestrials coming out. It’ll be on Peacock TV and it’s called Unidentified with Demi Lovato. The show follows Demi and their friend Matthew and their sister Dallas while they look for “the truth about the UFO phenomena.” Hopefully, if they find anything, the ETs will be impressed at their welcoming, inclusive language.

Woman Says Her Pet Toucan’s Extreme Separation Anxiety Means She Can’t Ever Go On Vacation

Published

A woman who adopted a pet toucan two years ago has admitted she struggles witn looking after the bird at times. Janelle Tsao, 35, took Touki into her home in Los Angeles but the animal’s severe separation anxiety has meant that she can’t leave him alone in the house and hasn’t been on vacation since she got him.

Toucans only bond with one human. As birds, toucans are monogamous both in terms of mating and the humans that they bond with. This means that whenever Janelle leaves the room, Touki will “croak call or screech loudly” until she comes back, however long it takes. “It can be very annoying, like a screaming parrot,” she said.

Having Touki is like having a child. Toucans aren’t small birds, so having such a large one in the house poses its challenges. “It’s like having a child, he’s beautiful, intuitive and always curious,” Janelle explains. “These birds are like flying toddlers or monkeys – they will get into everything. Yesterday, I was chopping tomatoes and placed them in a bowl with a lid, which he isn’t allowed to have, they’re too acidic. He flies down to the counter and lifted the lid and stole a tomato, then he flew up to the second floor of our loft and quickly swallowed it before I could even start climbing!”

His diet is pretty expensive. Touki doesn’t just eat plain birdseed – he eats lots of fresh and exotic fruits and vegetables including blueberries, palm dates, lychee, and sweet potatoes. This ends up costing about $80 a month.

Oh, and he poops a lot too. Apparently, toucans poop every five to 10 minutes, which is crazy! Touki tends to do it while he’s flying around the house, and Janelle shares it can be “any color of the rainbow.” This means they’ve had to poo-proof most of the house. “We plasticize all of our couches, clean up any poops that don’t make the designated liners,” she said. “Caretaking for a toucan is high maintenance!”

Janelle wouldn’t recommend a toucan as a pet, but she loves Touki. She and her girlfriend, 40-year-old Arielle Zarutsky, saw him at a breeder’s in 2019 and fell in love with him. “Our hearts just melted. He was very quiet and I guess shy in the cage,” she recalled. “I think it’s because he was injured and he had scab like things in his feathers. I made the commitment right there, that I would do whatever it took to love and care for him. It was always a dream of mine to care for a toucan.”
