4 things you should know about hand hygiene

How many of us knew sanitisers existed before the pandemic hit the world? Not many, for sure.

And even if we did, we only saw it as a waste of money, and just another product in the market trying to make its way in our lives for no good reason.

And what about hand washes? While they were here for as long as one can remember, they were always taken for granted.

Cut to 2020. A sudden surge in sanitisers and hand wash buyers. So much so, that the duo started running off shelves at lightning’s speed, and as a result, people started hoarding them.

We realised how important hand hygiene is in our lives. And what took for us to get this realisation was the fear of an invisible, tiny virus, which was, and is, severe enough to snatch away lives.

1. Follow the soap and water rule

While we all, by now, know the importance of using soap, there are still many people who think rinsing hands under a tap does the job. Remember hand hygiene is about making your hands clean both from the outer and inner layer. Soap, here, has an important part to play. Because after all, you don’t want your hands to look clean, but to be clean actually. Hence, whenever you make your next trip to the loo, or are about to touch any eatables, remember to wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.

2. Hand washing eliminates the risk of several diseases

It is not only COVID-19 that can’t stand soap and water, there are several other disease-causing germs that too can’t. Remember, your health is in your hands. So, if you suffer from diarrhoea, nausea, and vomiting frequently, there’s something extremely wrong with your hand hygiene practices.

3. Do it in the right way

It’s been months since we are seeing those ads teaching us how to wash hands by following the butterfly rule, but still there may be a chunk of people who missed it. Hand washing is not just about rubbing your palms. Make sure to clean the gaps between your fingers, the upper part of your hands, and your nails by rubbing them against your palm. It is important to keep your nails clean too, since they can become a storehouse for bacterias.

4. Overdoing it is not necessary

While maintaining good hand hygiene is the key to maintaining good health, this doesn’t not, at all, means that one has to be in front of the wash basin every now and then. Anything in excess does more harm than good. Do maintain good hand hygiene, but don’t do it too much, especially if you are using hand sanitisers, otherwise you may become a victim of skin diseases.

flirting couples

Every woman is trying to “read” men’s flirting signals. And it’s not so hard as you think.

If you really want to know that he is into you or not and what he may be thinking— then read this!

1. His Eyes

Yes, his eyes can tell you a lot. If it’s your first or second date, he’ll look away when you’ll look at him. It’s a sign that he likes you. If you know each other longer – he’ll look deeply into your eyes during conversation. It means he has fallen for you. Eyes are the doorways to your soul.

2. His Posture

If you want to know whether he likes you or not, you need to pay attention to the details. Be careful, if he puts his hands on his hips, he doesn’t have a strong interest. He’s just showing he’s a macho guy. If a man spreads his legs apart- it’s a good sign. It also shows that he is not tense and uptight but relaxed and receptive to you.

3. His Lips

If a man likes a woman, he becomes nervous. His mouth gets dry and a guy starts to lick his lips. Every time you see this, you’ll know that he likes you. Pay attention to flirty smiles. Guys always smile at a woman they like.

4. His Eyebrows

Of course, if a guy likes you, he can hide his eyes when you’re near. But take a look at his eyebrows – if he’s into you, a man will raise his eyebrows while he’s talking with you. This sign is called the eyebrow flash.

5. His Head

Sounds funny? But it’s true! If a guy tilts his head to the side, he surely likes you. It means that a man gives all his attention to you. He wants to listen to you and it’s a good sign that you are the favorite girl in his life.

6. His Touch

If a guy likes you, he wants to attract your attention using every way he can. One of these signs – a man just touches a woman in a gentle way ‘accidentally’ and it’s a good reason to start a conversation with you. These innocent touches can lead to more serious things if you want them too. Why not touch him back to show him how you feel?

7. His Actions

So, if a guy is truly interested in you, you’ll notice these signs. He can be slightly nervous and a man will frequently touch his face, play with his cell phone or a pen or jingle the change in pocket etc. You’ve seen the signals – now for you to act based on your female instincts. Is this Mr. Right or a pretender? The next move is yours!
