41-Year-Old Man Who Murdered A 4-Year-Old When He Was 13 Has Been Granted Parole

A 41-year-old man who savagely murdered a 4-year-old boy at the age of 14 has been granted parole after 27 years behind bars. Eric M. Smith was convicted of second-degree murder in 1994 after luring Derrick Robbie into the woods and hitting his head with a rock while the victim was on his way to a summer camp at a park in the Steuben County village of Savona in August 1993.

Smith admitted killing Robie all along. The widely publicized case was shocking, not least because of Smith’s young age at the time of the crime and the details of the horrible act he committed. He admitted to luring Robie to a wooded area after he’d been kicked out of that same summer camp. Next, he strangled the boy and dropped a rock on his head. He also admitted to sodomizing Robie with a stick to ensure he died.

Smith’s lawyer tried to claim that the teenager was mentally ill. At his original trial, Smith’s attorney attempted to argue diminished responsibility because of an undiagnosed mental illness. However, a judge didn’t buy it and he was given the maximum sentence for a criminal of his age, which was nine years to life in prison.

Smith did issue an apology to Robie and his family from prison. “I know my actions have caused a terrible loss in the Robie family, and for that, I am truly sorry. I’ve tried to think as much as possible about what Derrick will never experience: his 16th birthday, Christmas, anytime, owning his own house, graduating, going to college, getting married, his first child,” he said in a statement which he read out on TV. “If I could go back in time, I would switch places with Derrick and endure all the pain I’ve caused him. If it meant that he would go on living, I’d switch places, but I can’t.”

Robie’s parents have always opposed Smith’s release. Smith campaigned for parole roughly a dozen times throughout his 27 years behind bars and was turned down every single time. At each of those hearings, Robie’s parents, Dale and Doreen Robie, spoke out against Smith’s release. They’ve also been campaigning for parole reforms to extend the time between hearings for violent offenders.

Smith’s request for parole was finally granted. Appearing for the 11th time in front of the Board of Parole on October 5, Smith was told he would finally be allowed to leave prison. The Department of Corrections and Community Supervision said that he could be released as early as November 17.

Former Playboy Bunny Reveals Insane Rules For Living In Mansion Set By Hugh Hefner

A former Playboy Bunny has revealed the strict rules Hugh Hefner set for women living in the infamous mansion. Jenna Bentley, who’s originally from Montana, lived in the Bunny House next to the mansion for years. And while she loved her time there, she has admitted that it came with some pretty insane requirements that she found difficult to uphold at times.

Background checks are the bare minimum. Before Bunnies are ever even considered as possible residents of the Playboy mansion, a rigorous background check is performed to make sure that they’re not harboring any serious criminals there. That one’s pretty understandable, right?

There’s a curfew in place. This is where things get a bit tougher. Bunnies are told that they must be back in the mansion by 9 p.m. However, while this might be tough for some people to abide by, Bentley didn’t mind it so much.

If you missed curfew, you had to face the consequences. Bentley did reveal that not being back at the house by 9 p.m. was dealt with in a pretty hardcore way: the women had to spend the night sleeping on the lawn and were not allowed back in until the following day, no exceptions. Better hope it’s not raining!

Meeting men was out of the question. Another strictly upheld rule involved the women meeting other men. None of the Bunnies were allowed to have boyfriends and if it was discovered that one of the women had met a man, she was immediately kicked out of the mansion, no questions asked.

However, the house did have some upsides. Bentley recalled that living there was like living in Barbie’s Dream House because everything they wanted was at their fingertips. They had a phone they used to call “Dial-A-Dream” because if you pressed 0, you could ask for absolutely anything and it would be brought to you, 24/7/365.

Bentley never slept with Hefner. However, she did walk in on him with three different women at one point. According to Bentley, he had three separate rooms for his official girlfriends and wives, while the women not in these categories had to live in the Bunny house. Still, she seemed to have a pretty good experience there!

Judge Requests Cardi B’s Herpes Test Results Ahead Of Lawsuit Hearing

A judge has ordered a US medical center to release the results of Cardi B’s STD tests as part of her defamation lawsuit against vlogger Latasha Kebe. Judge William M. Ray II told the Center for Women’s Pelvic Health at UCLA to put out “any and all medical records within your possession related solely to the testing for Herpes and HPV for Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar,” Billboard reports.

Cardi B’s defamation case makes some serious accusations. The rapper’s case against vlogger Latasha Kebe accuses Kebe of starting a “malicious campaign” to ruin Cardi’s reputation. That campaign included the release of dozens of videos that accused Cardi B of prostitution, drug use, and having STDs.

The STD results are important to Cardi’s case. This is because if her test results proved that she was STD-free, that could help her win the case. Kebe’s attorneys were the ones demanding the results, but according to Billboard, Cardi B’s attorneys had already voluntarily submitted the evidence on the rapper’s behalf earlier on in the case.

The case has been going on for more than two years. Early on after Cardi B’s filing, Kebe tried to countersue by claiming that the rapper’s fans had been threatening her on social media, but a judge ruled there was “no evidence” of this being the case. Then, early in November, Cardi B asked a judge to postpone the trial until January due to a family emergency, which Kebe claimed was fabricated. However, a judge ruled in Cardi’s favor.

The trial will begin on January 5. It remains to be seen which way this case will go, but hopefully justice is served.

Woman Climbs Into Lion Enclosure At Zoo With 2 Dozen Roses And Throws $1 Bills At ‘King’ Cat

Police are calling for the public’s help to locate a woman who climbed over a barrier near the Bronx Zoo’s lion exhibit and began professing her love for one of the animals while throwing $1 bills. Cellphone footage obtained by NBC NY shows the woman wearing a red dress and a blonde wig approaching the lion with two dozen roses as she tells the person filming “I miss him so much.”

The woman continually confessed her love for the lion. The video shows the woman waving at other people as she tells the lion, “King, I love you. I came back for you!” She then starts dancing before throwing money at the animal.

The zoo’s staff arrived too late to do anything about it. While other visitors to the zoo did alert Bronx Zoo staff to what was going on, by the time they reached the exhibit, she’d already left the scene and was unable to be located.

Thankfully, neither the animal nor the woman was ever in any danger. The Bronx Zoo said in a statement that while the woman did climb over a barrier, she remained in a different area from the lion. “The woman did not enter the exhibit and was never in the same space as the lions which are separated from zoo visitors by a wide moat,” the zoo said. “The incident lasted only a couple of minutes and the woman was gone when staff arrived on scene. We have an NYPD substation in the park and are working closely with them to resolve this situation with this individual. The Bronx Zoo has a zero-tolerance policy in matters such as this and will aggressively seek prosecution against this individual and anyone who violates park safety rules.”

This might be the same woman from 2019. One of the witnesses believes that, while the woman hasn’t been identified, they believe she’s Myah Autry, the woman who pulled the same stunt back in 2019. At the time, Autry, 34, was charged with two counts of criminal trespassing. She said at the time: “I fear nobody. No animal, no human, no one. So no, I wasn’t fearing of the lion because the lion loved me. That’s why he came to me and I let the lion know: Lion, I love you.” She failed to appear at a court appearance and was arrested in October 2020 and transferred to Coney Island Hospital for psychiatric evaluation.
