He said that a rich person offering assistance to his sibling is a decision hinged on choice, but if they so wish to not help, then their brothers and sisters would just have to go and hustle for their own money.
Taking to his Twitter account, the young man said;
”Your rich siblings doesn’t owe you anything. If they help you, you’re lucky. If they don’t, go and hustle.
Most of you dont know the meaning of “owe”
Do your siblings include you when writing their Will?”
His post has gone viral and generated mixed reactions from social media users.
Attorney Ben Crump Calls For The FBI To Investigate The Death Of Jelani Day As A Hate Crime
Roommates, the family of graduate student Jelani Day, whose body was found in the Illinois River, weeks after he was reported missing on August 24th, is still searching for answers surrounding his death. According to NBC News, his mother, Carmen Bolden, doesn’t believe the narrative about her son that he did something to himself and has hired civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump, who represented George Floyd’s family, to bring them justice.
During a recent press conference at the Rainbow Push Coalition’s headquarters in Chicago, Attorney Crump demanded the FBI to investigate Jelani’s case as a federal hate crime. “We are asking the FBI to make this young, Black man named Jelani Day a priority just like they did the young white woman, Gabby Petito, because his life matters just like hers,” Attorney Crump pleaded.
He wasn’t the only one who spoke out at the conference. Carmen, standing beside Attorney Crump and Rev. Jesse Jackson, also made an emotional plea for her son’s death to be taken seriously. “I’m asking you. I’m imploring you. I’m begging you. I need to know what happened to my son,” Carmen said. “I need the FBI to come in and take over. … They need to make Jelani a priority.”
This isn’t the first time Carmen has pleaded to authorities to do more. As we previously reported in September, Carmen interviewed with Newsy, where she compared Gabby’s national coverage to the coverage her son received. She explained that Jelani hadn’t been getting coverage, although he had been missing for 24 days. Carmen also stated it seemed like the effort to find him has slacked down because everyone knew about Gabby, who at the time was only missing for two days, and the FBI immediately became involved.
Roommates, we will keep you updated as more information becomes available.

#EndSARS: Lagos Govt Disburses N450 Million To Higher Institutions For Governor Sanwo-Olu’s Peace Walk
Reports claim that the Government of Lagos State has disbursed N450 million to higher institutions in the state for the peace walk announced by the state governor.
A government source told the media on Friday that the state government paid the money to solicit the support of young Lagosians for the ‘peace walk’, to ensure the governor does not walk alone.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the state governor disbursed the money to universities, polytechnics and colleges of education in the state for the peace walk, which is likely to be held on Monday.
“Lagos State Government has disbursed N450 million to higher institutions for peace walk, which will likely be held on Monday.
“Universities, polytechnics and colleges of education are the beneficiaries,” the top source said.
On Tuesday, Sanwo-Olu had revealed plans to organise a peace walk in December 2021, in commemoration of the #EndSARS movement.
Sanwo-Olu, during a press briefing at the Government House in Alausa, Ikeja on Tuesday said he will be leading the peace walk to herald the healing of the land.
This comes after the state government in its White Paper on a report by the #EndSARS Judicial Panel of Inquiry on General Police Brutality Cases and Lekki Incident Investigation, accepted only 11 out of the 32 recommendations made by the panel.
The panel concluded that the Nigerian Army and police shot and killed peaceful #EndSARS protesters at Lekki Toll Gate, the epicentre of the demonstrations against police brutality, on October 20, 2020.
But the government in the White Paper flayed some claims in the report, maintaining that it was full of discrepancies, irregularities and inaccuracies with claims of deaths of victims.
Sanwo-Olu had further extended an open invitation to youths, civil society groups, journalists, students and other stakeholders to join him in the peace walk.
However, some of his invitees have already rejected the invitation with some youths in the state declaring that the state governor will walk alone.
It should be noted that students of the Lagos State University (LASU) have expressed their readiness to participate in the ‘Lagos Peace Walk,’ proposed by Sanwo-Olu.
This was made known on Thursday by the Students’ Union Government (SUG) President of the school, Oladipupo Uthman Badmus, during the sitting of the Students Representatives Council, the legislative arms of the SUG.
The sitting was the first council session to be held at the newly built students’ Arcade in the school, which was inaugurated by Sanwo-Olu on Thursday.
“Mr. Governor, sir, it is what you signed up for but we are indebted to you. Be rest assured, whenever you walk, we will walk with you. We will be by your side. Whenever you run, we will run with you to the end,” Badmus assured on behalf of LASU students.
However, it is not clear if the union executives were motivated by money or the newly inaugurated project in their school.
Also, rights activist and member of the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry, Segun Awosanya yesterday said he would join Sanwo-Olu in the proposed peace walk.

Wolves 0-1 Liverpool: Divock Origi Scores Late Winner As Klopp’s Men Go To The Top Of The Premier League
Liverpool captalised on Chelsea’s loss away at West Ham United earlier on Saturday by beating Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.
Divock Origi, who has a tendency to score big goals at important times, netted an injury-time winner after a tight game.
He spared Diogo Jota’s blushes after the forward hit Conor Coady on the line following Jose Sa’s second-half mistake.
Chelsea’s 3-2 defeat at West Ham gave the Reds a path to the summit and they went top thanks to Origi’s late show. Resilient Wolves were left with nothing despite another battling display and sit eighth.
Liverpool had blown away the majority of their rivals this season, having scored four in each of their last three Premier League games before arriving at Molineux.
They had, simply, been too good but found Wolves at their resolute best until the death.
Only Chelsea and Manchester City have conceded fewer goals than Bruno Lage’s side prior to the game and there was strong resistance to Liverpool’s threat.
The visitors failed to find any early rhythm, thanks largely to the hosts’ determination. Aside from Leander Dendoncker slicing a clearance from Jota’s header the Reds made few first-half inroads.
Three straight clean sheets had given Wolves’ defence renewed confidence and they continued to keep it tight as Liverpool slowly began to turn the screw.
Trent Alexander-Arnold volleyed over after 28 minutes and then turned provider for Jota, who headed his far post cross wide.
Liverpool had control but only managed to open their hosts up once and, even then, Romain Saiss’ presence ensured Mohamed Salah just failed to make contact with Andrew Robertson’s low centre.
As an attacking force Wolves were non-existent. Having scored just five league goals at Molineux that was no surprise but Adama Traore, Raul Jimenez and Hwang Hee-chan carried little threat.
Joel Matip and Virgil Van Dijk were on cruise control and apart from Rayan Ait-Nouri’s sharp run – before he wasted his cross – there was little for Liverpool to fear.
Yet, they were still searching for a goal. Having scored in every Premier League game since a 1-0 defeat to Fulham in March more was expected after the break.
Salah’s knockdown caused some penalty box pinball which saw Thiago Alcantara twice denied but Jurgen Klopp’s men lacked the fluidity and precision to break Wolves down.
They needed a mistake from Sa to create their best opening on the hour and even then Jota missed it.
The goalkeeper raced out to the left after Jordan Henderson’s searching pass for Jota but collided with Saiss to give the forward a clear run to goal.
He advanced but from just six yards belted the ball at the covering Coady on the line.
Alexander-Arnold drove over as Liverpool’s frustrations grew and Sa denied Sadio Mane late on.
But Origi had the final say deep into added time when he collected Salah’s pass, turned and fired in from four yards.
