Moscow orders ‘mandatory vaccination against Covid 19 for some workers

Nigeria is is now ready to embark on the local manufacture of COVID-19 vaccines.

This was disclosed by the Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Prof. Mojishola Adeyeye.

Prof. Adeyeye made this known during a media briefing session organized by the Federal Ministry of Health in Abuja on Monday, November 22, 2021. The NAFDAC DG disclosed that the inability of the country to manufacture COVID-19 vaccines locally was due to the absence of regulatory capacity to guide and maintain requisite standards in the vaccine production venture.

However, she noted that Nigeria has made significant improvements in meeting the conditions set by the World Health Organization (WHO); especially for the manufacturing of COVID-19 vaccines; adding that the agency has successfully met 368 recommendations given by the world health body.

“This journey started in January, 2018…WHO gave us 868 recommendations to meet before being recognised for maturity level three. We have been on that journey and it is good to share this audience that as at October 15, 2021; we have no other recommendation to meet.

“So, from 868 to nil, that is where we are.

‘’Nigeria is now closer to manufacturing our vaccines locally and it will no longer be because of the regulatory agency,” she said.

Meanwhile, the NAFDAC DG revealed that as part of the requirements; the agency would have to expand and equip its drug and vaccine laboratories in Yaba and Oshodi to attain the specified standards; noting that attaining the global benchmark in laboratory facility was a key requirement for proper regulation of vaccine manufacturing.

Equally important, the NAFDAC boss stated that the WHO would be sending a team to come and verify the labs; before a formal certification is issued to Nigeria.

The final batch of Xbox Game Pass additions for 2021 has now been announced, and there are some very enticing releases on the list.

Xbox Game Pass has experienced a ridiculously strong year, with major titles like Forza Horizon 5, Microsoft Flight Simulator, and Game Awards nominee Psychonauts 2 debuting on the service at launch. They’ve also had a few interesting perks scattered throughout 2021, including one that entailed its subscribers to a free Disney Plus trial.

Not content to rest on its laurels, Xbox is planning to end the year on a high note, with December having one of their biggest Game Pass updates yet. The headline attraction is obviously the Halo Infinite campaign, which lands on December 8, but there are a few other highlights as well.

For instance, Aliens: Fireteam Elite will be coming to the service on December 14, just in time for its second season of content. The multiplayer shooter is a great choice for those who want to hang out with their friends during a cooperative gaming session, especially if you all happen to be invested in the Aliens mythology.

On December 14, the new season will launch, bringing an extra “Point Defense” mode, challenge cards, weapons and cosmetics. So, if you haven’t already given it a shot, then now is the best time to (orbital) drop in.

Not to mention, Among Us will also be making its Game Pass debut in December, for both console and PC owners. Again, the social deduction game is another one that’s best enjoyed with friends, which is ideal because you will soon all be able to download it with ease.

December Additions to Xbox Game Pass

Below is a list of every new title that is coming to Xbox Game Pass in December 2021.

December 2

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perks for December 2021

In addition to the new games, there will also be a few perks for Xbox Game Pass members.

Those with Ultimate tier subscriptions can get 10 percent off the brand-new Age of Empires III “Mexican Civilization” DLC. They will also be entitled to a New Year’s bundle for Dauntless, an Apex Legends RIG weapon charm and a World of Warships holiday expansion.

The most exciting part, however, relates to Halo Infinite. According to the official Xbox Wire post, Game Pass Ultimate members will be getting exclusive content for the blockbuster shooter every month from now on, starting in December.

The first of these perk bundles, which is available to claim from December 8, includes four XP boosts, four Challenge Swap cards and the “Pass Tense” skin for the MA40 Assault Rifle (which cannot be unlocked any other way).

Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass in December 2021

As is the case with other streaming services like Netflix, content does not always stay on Xbox Game Pass forever.

Sometimes titles (mainly third-party ones) are sadly removed from the platform, meaning that you will have to buy them if you wish to continue playing.

These are the games that are leaving on December 15, 2021:

  • Beholder (Cloud, Console)
  • The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan (Console, PC)
  • Guacamelee! 2 (Cloud, Console, PC)
