Curvy Nollywood actress Didi Ekanem is thrown into a deep state of grief and pain as she helplessly watches her house and properties razed to the ground by fire in Lagos yesterday evening, Sunday, November 28th.
The actress alerted the world of the misfortune that befell her by capturing the moment her house was incinerated in a series of videos that she shared on her page while crying haplessly and confused about what to do to salvage the situation, as she showed how the fire engulfed years of hard work to pull together all of the properties that went up in flames within hours.
Didi lamented that all her late nights of hard work had gone in a second and could only leave with her passport, questioning the way forward for her and her sister.
She wrote: Everything that I have worked for in this Lagos, all my efforts to have a good place to live in this, all my late nights of hardwork gone within a second . I’m only left with my passport.
Don’t know where I and my sister can go from here . I’m lost! Someone wake me up. God this is not your plans for me . I refuse to go through this heartbreak in Jesus name. Everything you blessed me with ahhhh

Bill Cosby’s Spokesperson Defends His Legacy By Calling The Upcoming Documentary ‘We Need To Talk About Cosby’ A “PR Hack”
When it comes to Bill Cosby, his team does everything to prevent his legacy from being tarnished. Currently, the team is working overtime ahead of a new four-part documentary, ‘We Need To Talk About Cosby,’ airing on January 30th. The documentary by stand-up comedian and TV host W. Kamau Bell, details the downfall of Bill. He was once portrayed as America’s Dad, in his role as Cliff Huxtable on The Cosby Show, before his image was changed due to being exposed for alleged acts of sexual assault.
The documentary premiering on Showtime is what Bill’s spokesperson calls a “PR hack,” according to People in a statement made on Wednesday. “Let’s talk about Bill Cosby. Mr. Cosby has spent more than 50 years standing with the excluded; made it possible for some to be included; standing with the disenfranchised, and standing with those women and men who were denied respectful work because of race and gender … within the expanses of the entertainment industries.”
The statement continues, “Let’s talk about Bill Cosby. Mr. Cosby continues to be the target of numerous media that have, for too many years, distorted and omitted truths … intentionally. Despite media’s repetitive reports of allegations against Mr. Cosby, none have ever been proven in any court of law.” Bill’s court cases have been interesting to follow along. If you recall his 2018 case, Bill was found guilty on three counts of aggravated indecent assault after Andrea Constand said he had drugged her and sexually assaulted her in his Elkins Park, Pa., home in 2004. Ultimately Bill was sentenced to three to 10 years for the crime.
However, he maintains his innocence. His spokesperson called out the Pennsylvania State Supreme Court, adding, “Let’s talk about Bill Cosby. In June 2021, the Pennsylvania State Supreme Court released Mr. Cosby, and the court’s Chief Justice defined the Pennsylvania Montgomery County District Attorney’s behavior as reprehensible.”
Roommates, do you think Bill Cosby’s image is under attack?

Women put themselves under pressure to attract men – Kiddwaya
Big Brother Naija 2020 contestant, Terseer Waya aka Kiddwaya, has stated that women put themselves under pressure to attract men.
He made the statement during an Instagram Live session with his long-time friend and celebrity Disc Jockey, DJ Cuppy as he urged ladies to be okay about being natural.
DJ Cuppy had lamented that young people were being too superficial, as she revealed that she felt insecure about her people viewed her haircut.
“I feel like as Nigerians and young black people, we need to stop being so on the surface. We are putting ourselves under too much pressure. Even with make-up, lashes, we cannot kill ourselves. Even weight is a thing,” DJ Cuppy said.
Kidd then chipped in; “Let’s bring back being natural. It is okay to have short hair, short nails. It is okay not to wear heels when going out”.
He also said that a lot of women are under pressure to look beautiful and smashing. He said even though they claim that they do it for themselves, they do it to attract the kind of guy that loves such things.
Cuppy replied that she would prefer to be real. She also believes that sharing her real self in her relationship will keep it going in the good days and the bad days.
Kiddwaya added; “Girls, you have to power to control the narrative. If a lot of women decide to go natural, I think guys have no choice but to accept it. I remember about ten years ago, it was slim girls that men liked. When the Kardashians came on the scene, men began to look for women with curves and slim waists. I want someone with a big heart, that is the only thing I need.”
Family Of Lauren Smith-Fields Credits Cardi B For Bringing More Attention To Her Case And Getting Police Involved
Roommates, throughout the last few weeks the heartbreaking death and tragic case of Lauren Smith-Fields has captured national attention—and her family is praising Cardi B for making it all possible. Thanks to her tweet sent to her millions of fans, Lauren Smith-Fields’ family is thanking Cardi B for bringing her case more attention and police involvement.
According to TMZ, the family of Lauren Smith-Fields, via their attorney Darnell Crosland, recently revealed that Cardi B was crucial in getting Lauren’s death to become a criminal case, simply because Connecticut police only launched an official investigation after Cardi spoke out publicly about the 23-year-old’s death that occurred back in December. On January 23rd, Cardi tweeted about Lauren, which brought an immense amount of attention to the case.
Additionally, Lauren Smith-Fields’ family has extended Cardi B an open invitation to check in with them for updates on the investigation’s progress, either in person at their Connecticut home or virtually.
As we previously reported, Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled Lauren’s passing an “accident” earlier this week. According to the report, the 23-year-old died from “acute intoxication due to the combined effects of fentanyl, promethazine, hydroxyzine and alcohol.” The medical examiner’s office released the report more than a month since Lauren was found unresponsive in her apartment on December 12, 2021.
But the family says there’s more to the story, especially given their knowledge that Lauren had no prior history with heavy drug use.
