The Alanta pioneers are another strong duo who understood the Nigerian music scene. They did not just release music, but they accompanied it with dance steps to sweeten the melody. The duo Artquake consist of Adegbite Adeniran and Tomomewo Olakunle and they emerged into the music scene in Nigeria in the late 90’s. Even though they have currently parted ways, they are one of the longest-staying music groups in Nigeria.

4. Danfo Drivers Danfo driver KOKO TV NG 9

The Danfo Drivers was made up of Mad Melon and Mountain Black, and they blessed us with jams that portrayed ghetto life in Nigeria, especially Ajegunle. One of their greatest hits Danfo Driver (Suo) leaves rent-free in the heads of Nigerian music lovers. It was sad news when a report revealed that Mad Melon died back in 2019. For their amazing hits, they will always remain one of the greatest.

3. Zule Zoo Zule Zoo KOKO TV NG 2

One duo in the Nigerian music scene that forever remains a strong force to contend with is the Zule Zoo. Comprising of Micheal Aboh and Al-Hassan Ibrahim, they came into the limelight after the success of their smash hit, ‘Kerewa‘. Even though the song was banned by NBC for obscene content, this jam was and is still the delight of many music lovers in Nigeria from the early 2000s. The meaning of their name, Zule Zoo (forgotten warriors never die) forever speaks for them, because even as they have not been on the music scene for a very long time, this duo and their songs remain evergreen in the hearts of Nigerians.

2. Bracket
Bracket KOKO TV NG 2This group was initially made up of three members but a member called Bishop dropped out and we had Bracket. Their R&B songs especially Yori Yori is forever hit single. Obumneme Ali a.k.a. “Smash” and Nwachukwu Ozioko a.k.a. “Vast” who composed of this group, made love, sound and feel super sweet. They have had several features with Wizkid, Tekno, Tuface, the list is a long one as is their musical talent and history.
1. Psquare Psquare KOKO TV NG 5

Peter and Paul Okoye known as members of the Psquare singing group are one duo who still grabs the hearts of Nigerians, whenever they step on the big stage and screen. The twin brothers who went their separate ways five years ago are back and better. While they separated as a result of a family feud, they both developed their individual music career, going by the names Rudeboy (Paul) and Mr P (Peter).

Even as they went solo, they still topped charts, but to fans home and abroad, nothing felt like the Psquare whom they missed. Then this year, just before their 40th birthday, they reconciled and fans went berserk with joy. Now they are back giving hit jams from the Psquare we have all missed, and we can say they definitely deserve to be number one on this list. All the duos on this list contributed via their hit singles and albums to the Nigerian music scene that to date, their songs are still relevant.

It is important that we always watch our surroundings whenever we’re out in public because it only takes a split second until something becomes serious. On Friday, actress Tisha Campbell reminded her followers to do so after she detailed a recent moment where she was almost “snatched” while trying to catch a taxi outside of her hotel.

In a video posted to her Instagram, the actress said, “Don’t freak out, but I think I almost got snatched up. So, they don’t have Ubers where I’m filming and I had to call a taxi so I get this number but the van that pulls up looks real sketchy. But there’s a guy in the back seat right, so when he jumps out the guy is just standing there.”

She continued to explain she thought the guy was getting dropped off, but he was just standing outside of the van. Tisha then says the guy started to demand that she got inside of the van, but she told him “no.”

“I look inside the car, it’s f****d up,” she said. “The rubber is pulled up from the bottom; there’s dirt everywhere. The back seat looked like it was snatched out and snatched out for a f******g reason.”

Tisha proceeded to detail that the driver in front then demanded her to get in the car, and she also told him she was not getting inside.

After heading back inside her hotel, she asked the lady at the front desk about the guy who gave her the number to call for a taxi. And the lady questioned, “Why would he give you this number?”

Tisha ended her video by saying, “Yo this trafficking sh*t is real. But they got me f****d up. They got me f*****d up. Cause I ain’t Gina b***h.”

It looks like Joe Exotic still has some time before he’ll be able to be released from prison. On Friday, a federal judge resentenced Joe after a federal appeals court ruled that his sentence should be shortened.

According to AP News, Joe was resentenced to 21 years in prison, which is only reducing his previous sentence by a year. He is currently serving time on a murder-for-hire charge, which involved his “Tiger King,” rival Carole Baskin. Joe, who is set to begin treatment after being diagnosed with cancer, said to the judge on Friday, “Please don’t make me die in prison waiting for a chance to be free.”

Carole and her current husband were also present in court as she expressed her fear of being threatened by Joe. She said, “He continues to harbor intense feelings of ill will toward me.”

In January 2020, Joe was sentenced to 22 years behind bars after he was convicted of reportedly trying to hire someone to kill Carole Baskin. Last year, a federal appeals court ruled that his sentence should be shortened.

Prosecutors claim that Joe, whose real name is, Joseph Maldonado-Passage, tried to hire an undercover FBI agent to kill Carole and offered him $10,000. In a recorded meeting from December 2017, he was reportedly heard saying, “Just like follow her into a mall parking lot and just cap her and drive off.”

However, Joe’s legal team says that he was not being serious.

As we previously reported, last year Joe was reportedly looking for President Biden to grant him a pardon after Donald Trump didn’t do so before his exit from office.
