Senegal manager Aliou Cisse has hit back at Jurgen Klopp’s remarks over the African Cup of Nations (AFCON), suggesting the Liverpool manager owed his success to players from the continent.

Last month, the German caused a stir as he described the AFCON as a ‘small tournament’ following Liverpool’s 4-0 win over Arsenal.

Asked whether he was relieved there was no international break until March, Klopp replied: ‘I’ve heard that so often that there’s no international break until March.

Liverpool are set to lose several of their stars, including Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Naby Keita for the tournament, which runs from January 9 until February 6 next year.

While Klopp subsequently backtracked, Cisse felt he had showed a lack of respect for the tournament and had a swipe at the German’s track record before he managed the likes of Salah and Mane.

‘Who does he think he is? I manage Senegal and my players play for Klopp at Liverpool,’ he told broadcaster iTV Senegal.

‘I respect Liverpool but not Klopp who undermines African football events. He is where he is today because of African footballers.

‘He was losing every final until Salah, Mane, Matip came to his rescue to win his first-ever major European final.’

Cisse, who played in the Premier League with Birmingham City and Portsmouth, pointed out that the AFCON featured the same number of teams as the Euros – 24 – and the quality was just as good.

Speaking after Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Porto in the Champions League last week, Klopp clarified his comments had been misinterpreted.

‘I didn’t mean it like that. I don’t know why you understand it like that,’ he told a journalist, who had suggested his comments had offended African players and fans.

‘It’s not even close to the idea in my mind that I want to talk about AFCON as a little tournament, or the continent of Africa like a little continent, not at all.

“What I meant is, because people said, and if you watch the full press conference, if you wanted to understand it in the right way you could have understood it in the right way.’

The Liverpool boss refuted the suggestion the AFCON was not on the same level of its other continental counterparts.

‘There’s still a tournament. A big one. We lose our best players to the Africa Cup of Nations,’ he continued.

Ari Lennox Says She Is Done Doing Interviews After Recently Being Asked Explicit Question Regarding Her Sex Life

Roommates, Ari Lennox recently let off some tweets regarding an interview where she was asked about her sex life…and she made it clear that she didn’t appreciate the way the question was asked. As a result of the inappropriate question, Ari Lennox also stated that she is done doing interviews.

During a recent interview with Mac G of ‘Podcast and Chill,’ Ari Lennox was blindsided when he blurted out and asked her if  “someone was f**king her good right now.” Ari was visibly caught off guard by the comment and though she tried her best to recover while answering the question, she definitely was not pleased.

Ari Lennox took to social media and posted a series of tweets explaining how she actually felt—and breaking the news to her fans that she is likely done giving interviews for good:

“I’m just like… why was I alone on a call full of people? Why didn’t anyone intervene? And why wasn’t parts of the interview destroyed like the team promised? Why did it happen to begin with? I just feel slow and ambushed and [blindsided]. But f**k it! I don’t want anyone feeling sorry for me. I’m tired of the narrative. Exhausted. I’m good I promise. But as for interviews I’m not doing them anymore. There’s enough lives and interviews out there already.

Just because I happily and freely sing/write about sex don’t make any kind of creepy disrespect warranted. I clearly was in immense shock and hate that I didn’t react differently. Honestly it’s all my karma. I’ve been my most happiest creating music and exploring life sober. I’m not allowing anything to tamper with my peace anymore.”

As of now, Mac G has not publicly responded to Ari Lennox’s comments about his question about her sex life.

Rolling Stone Stylish Musicians

Roommates, some of our musical faves were just recognized for their iconic drip! ‘Rolling Stone’ just released its list of the ’25 Most Fashionable Musicians’ and it was filled with Black Excellence courtesy of Kanye West, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Lil Nas X, Cardi B, A$AP Rocky and more.

They were acknowledged not only for their personal style, but also their fashion influence and incredibly successful fashion brands. Speaking of Kanye West’s innovative and instantly trend-setting style, ‘Rolling Stone’ said “As polarizing as his creations as a designer have been, Kanye West has set his own standard in combining music and fashion. Last summer, while debuting Donda at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, West donned a black spiked jacket from Balenciaga. Meanwhile, West is keeping his Yeezy line accessible, joining forces with the Gap.”

Acknowledging the Rihanna is taking a more relaxed, street style approach to her fashion choices lately, the magazine stated “She also continued setting a new bar in luxury and casual wear. At the Met Gala, she paired an ordinary black beanie with couture, and she has stepped out for date nights with A$AP Rocky in chic leather jackets.”

However, when it comes to Lil Nas X, who topped the list landing at the number one spot, his androgynous, gender-bending style that has captivated red carpets throughout the past year was noted as a new era of style.

“Over the past year, with the help of stylist Hodo Musa, he’s managed to turn his every look into a conversation starter, from the flame-emblazoned leather outfit seen on ‘SNL’ to his take on Marie Antoinette’s rococo gowns and his now-infamous Satan shoes,” ‘Rolling Stone’ highlighted.

You can head to ‘Rolling Stone’ to see the FULL list!
