APC aspirants trying to steal voters’ PVCs, Oyetola cries out

Adegboyega Oyetola 1

Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun has urged would-be voters to safeguard their Permanent Voter Cards ahead of the July 16 gubernatorial election, accusing other All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirants of attempting to steal their PVCs.

On Thursday, while touring Ila Federal Constituency, Mr Oyetola also urged APC members to keep their membership registration slips ahead of the party’s primary.

He appealed to them not to allow anyone to deceive them with a ”fake loan” to still steal their PVCs from them.

“I implore you to keep the party’s registration slip issued during the accreditation exercise and your voter’s card safe. With the look of things, it seems that the party will opt for direct primary,” noted the Osun governor. “If it is so, the membership slip will be used for the exercise. Some people want to collect your PVC and membership slip with the pretence to give you a loan.”

He added, “They are all liars, the loan that they did not give you two years ago. They are lying to give you months to the election. They are promising you food now. They are liars. We started our food support programme last April and did not stop it.”

In his remarks, the Orangun of Ila, Oba Abdul Oyedotun, said the governor’s achievements in developing the state were enough testimonies for him to be reelected.

Mr Oyedotun, who noted that the governor would triumph in the election, said the electorate was behind him.

“Your achievements speak for themselves, and we are proud of what you have done. Your second term ambition will be successful, and whoever tries to stand in your way will not witness your success story,” said the ruler. “Don’t despair, our ancestors were faced with travails, and they emerged triumphant. You shall overcome yours too. Your detractors will witness your success, and you will triumph over them.”

Don’t release Nnamdi Kanu — Asari Dokubo tells Buhari

The Paradise Breaking News

Former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, has given reasons why the Federal Government should not release Nnamdi Kanu, the pro-Biafra agitator.

Dokubo said Kanu should not be released because he instigated violence and his influence propelled his followers to wreak havoc in the southeast.

The leader of the defunct Niger Delta Peoples Salvation Force (NDPSF), disclosed this in a Facebook live yesterday.

According to Dokubo: “They will come and be begging (the FG) to bring out Nnamdi Kanu. For what? For the people that he’s killing?

“You take Mkpuru Mmiri (Crystal Methamphetamine), then eat the flesh of our people. What these evil men are doing to our people, do they have hearts?

“You take traditional rulers, chain them, you put guns inside their mouths because they are the people who are not allowing Biafra to come.”

The Paradise Breaking News
APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu

National Leader of the All Progressives Congress and 2023 presidential hopeful, Bola Tinubu, has again jetted out of Nigeria to seek medical attention abroad.

This comes barely three weeks after he informed President Muhammadu Buhari of his ambition to contest the position of president in 2023.

Tinubu also paid visits to some Northern states where he donated millions of naira in a bid to sell his presidential ambition.

He also recently met with former Head of State and annuller of the June 12, 1993, presidential election, General Ibrahim Babangida, over his plans to be President of Nigeria.

According to sources, Tinubu left the country after admitting to having a stressful time touring states for his “lifelong presidential ambition”.

His destination was, however, not disclosed.

He had recently returned from the United Kingdom after a three-month medical trip where he claimed he went to meet his physicians for physiotherapy.

On Thursday, Tinubu was absent at the inauguration of the working committees of a new movement in support of his ambition, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.

His absence had raised concerns about his whereabouts. SaharaReporters reports
