One Daniel Mbanasor, a businessman, has been nabbed after he tried to leave the country with $87k [N36.6 million] which belongs to investors.

A victim identified as Ose Ọjị Crucifiso De.Cross on Facebook, narrated how he was nearly swindled of the money he had gotten from investors.

He said he paid the money to Mbanasor to deliver goods only for him to disappear with the N36m.

De.Cross’ shared a video of Mbanasor being confronted after he was caught and wrote;

”Dear esteemed investors/friends,

I wish to thank you all for finding me worthy to entrust your hard earned money into my care in this hard economy.

This past few months have been such a challenging one for me.

It was actually an overwhelming situation for me but be that as it may, I am very much pleased to tell you that everything is under control.

What happened is that Mr. Daniel Mbanasor , one of my sole product suppliers dubiously withheld the money that I paid to him for products, up to the tune sum of 36.6 million.

He went into hiding and has been giving me excuses upon excuses from his hideout, while making arrangements to get a visa and run away from the country with my investors money.

The good news is that he has been arrested last week and efforts is being made to retrieve the money with him and pay back to the owners accordingly.

Dear esteemed investors and friends, once again, I wish to thank each and everyone of you who has stood patiently by me through this trying times and I also wish to plead with you to accord me a little more time to follow the case with Mr. Daniel Mbanasor, as we hope to retrieve every dime in his possession, so we can be able to balance up.

I, Ose Ọjị Crucifiso De.Cross has not and will never run away with your money.

Attached, are pictures and videos of the arrest of Mr. Daniel Mbanasor.

Thank you once again as I assure you all that we will come out of this stronger.”

Canadian doctor delivers ‘Miracle’ baby on flight

A Canadian doctor has told of her joy after delivering a “Miracle” baby on an overnight flight to Uganda.

Dr Aisha Khatib, a professor at the University of Toronto, was about one hour into her Qatar Airways flight from Doha to Entebbe when the call went out.

A Ugandan migrant worker travelling home from Saudi Arabia was about to deliver her first child.

The baby, early at 35 weeks, was born healthy, and was named Miracle Aisha, after the doctor.

Dr Khatib, bleary-eyed from a gruelling work schedule back in coronavirus-plagued Toronto, was enjoying a well-earned rest on the third leg of her trip.

But she did not hesitate when a voice on the intercom asked if there was a doctor aboard.

“I see a crowd of people gathered around the patient,” Dr Khatib told BBC News.

At this point she was assuming it was a critical situation, like a heart attack.

“As I got closer see this woman lying on the seat with her head toward the aisle and feet towards the window. And the baby was coming out!”

Dr Khatib was helped by two other passengers – an oncology nurse and a paediatrician from Doctors Without Borders (MSF).

The baby was crying “robustly”, she said. Following a quick check, she passed the infant to the paediatrician for a closer inspection.

“I looked at the baby, and she was stable, and I looked at the mom and she was OK,” says Dr Khatib.

“So I was like, ‘Congratulations it’s a girl.’ Then the entire plane started clapping and cheering and was like ‘Oh right, I’m on a plane and everybody is watching this.’”

“WE HAVE FAILED TO SEPARATE THE TWINS” – ZAMBIAN DOCTORS

Zambian Medical Doctors have finally decided that the country’s latest conjoined twins, Joshua and James will not be separated due to the intricate nature of the anticipated operation.

Clinical Care and Diagnostic Services Director, Dr. Alex Makupe has disclosed to Diamond news in an exclusive interview that a team of experts has resolved not to go ahead with the operation to separate the children.

He has explained that carrying out the operation would be devastating to the parents as one child will have to be sacrificed.

Dr. Makupe says in the next few weeks a house will be found for family in Eastern Province where they will be accompanied by a social worker as well as a physio therapist for continued monitoring.

The six months old conjoined twins were born in Eastern Province.
