Confessing via a WhatsApp chat shortly before the planned wedding, the man wrote;

“She came around that 7pm or thereabout, we spoke about the issue till about 9pm. She told you she had left my house and went home but the truth was she spent the night.

“I mean she was like, it was late and I didn’t mind her staying over. I told her she should call you up instead but since y’all weren’t really in Good terms she didn’t wanna go to your place

“Well I got the other room ready for her and I went to my room. Fam your babe called me right from the second room saying she was scared to sleep alone especially in an environment she wasn’t too familiar with and if she could come sleep with me.”

“Well the end of the whole gist was we ended up having s3x and made me promise it stayed between us.

“But fam I can’t watch you get engaged to someone that cheated on you with one of your friends.

“I f*ck up fam, I know I did and I am sorry But I think you need to know before you take this big step you about to.

“I need you to see it as I helped you dodge a bullet cos if she can do this to you who knows what she might do later.

“I just want what’s best for you bro. You like a brother to me. You helped me through difficult times and I care about your future.

“I’m sorry it happened but you need to know this before you go pop the question to the wrong person.”

Zimbabwe’s opposition leader optimistic about next year’s elections

Nelson Chamisa01

The main opposition leader in Zimbabwe, Nelson Chamisa, feels optimistic about winning next year’s presidential elections.

Chamisa narrowly lost the general elections in 2018 to Emerson Mnangagwa in what he denounced as a stolen vote.

“They know that we constitute an alternative, they know that we defeated them in 2018. And we’re about to repeat that. Not just in the by-elections, but also in the 2023 election, with is a big gap. So they have tried to decimate us, to destroy us, to divide us, to de-focus us, but they have failed…” said Nelson Chamisa.

Referring to the change of name of his party announced this week, from Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) to Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), Chamisa claims it’s a break from the past.

“We need to fix Zimbabwe in order to restore the dignity of the citizens. And that is what we are doing. So of course we have not rebranded. It’s a new party, it’s a fresh start, it’s a new beginning, it’s a new dawn. It’s sunrise in Zimbabwe” added Chamisa.

In an interview with AFP, the presidential hopeful added that the change in leadership in Zambia had given him a lot of hope for Zimbabwe that has been ruled by the same party, ZANU-PF, for nearly 42 years.

“We are so excited that Zambia has given us a huge momentous wealth … Which is going to also spill over across the Zambezi river. And of course we hope that Zimbabwe is going to be an exciting opportunity going forward”, concluded Chamisa.

Opposition parties acknowledge change of power in Burkina Faso

Published

faso

Members of Burkina Faso’s opposition parties have acknowledged the change of power that took place on January 24 after the military ousted President Roch Marc Christian Kabore, according to a statement published on Thursday.

This comes after the first official declarations by the Patriotic Movement for Safeguarding and Restoration (MPSR), who have been running the country for the past three days.

According to the statement, member parties stated that the multi-sectoral crisis in the security, economic and social sectors of the country has been crippled since 2015 reaching an unprecedented level of seriousness in 2021.

Despite the multiple arrests of the former leader of the Political Opposition (CFOP), the regime of President Roch Marc Christian Kaboré has been unable to provide strong responses to the concerns of the Burkinabè people, the statement said.

They added that in the above context, defense and security forces intervened in the political aspect of Burkina Faso by putting an end to the regime that was in place.

In the statement, it said that for any Democrat and Republican, coups d’etat are in principle unacceptable.

Member parties said that they are however aware of their responsibilities especially at these particular times in the history of the West African nation, to recognize the change in power in the country as well as take note of the letter of resignation from President Kabore.
