Davido celebrates himself as fans suggest his colleagues refused to congratulate him on his achievements
Top Afrobeats singer, Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, has taken to social media to celebrate himself on his historic feat of being the first Nigerian artiste on FIFA World Cup Soundtrack.
On Friday, CorrectNG reported that Davido performed for the first time at the 2022 World Cup Draw in Doha, Qatar alongside American artistes, Trinidad Cantona and Aisha.
They are the three artistes that recorded the first official soundtrack, Hayya Hayya (Better Together) for the international football tournament.
Following the historic news, fans took to social media to point out that they observed none of Davido’s colleagues openly congratulated him on the feat, adding that it is usually that way whenever he wins at something.
The singer then decided to pen a thank you note to himself. He also released a tweet suggesting that everyone in the industry is against him.
