2023: APC Presidential Aspirant Picks Senatorial Form As Plan B

As the 2023 election approaches, Cross River State Governor and a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Ben Ayade, has picked up a senatorial form, Newsbreak reports.

Ayade who picked up his form on Tuesday will be contesting for the northern senatorial district in his state against Orim Martin Ojie who obtained his form on May 6, 2022.

A group of persons known as sons and daughters of Cross River, had presented Ayade the APC nomination form to contest for Presidency in 2023.

The governor, who assured that he would tackle the problem of poor electricity supply head-on, said that he was ready to deploy a workable solution to fix the problem once and for all. He however gave a condition to accepting APC consensus candidate, vowing not to step down for anyone if the process of selection is unfair.

He also declared to rally behind former President Goodluck Jonathan if he (Jonathan) emerges as the APC’s Presidential flag bearer ahead of next year’s election.

Among the APC aspirants are former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu; former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; Vice-President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo; and Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi.
