2023 Presidency: “Jonathan will not do anything secretly” – Omokri

Reno Omokri, a former Special Assistant on Social Media to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, on Tuesday said his former boss is an honourable man who ‘wouldn’t do anything surreptitiously’.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that a northern group picked the All Progressives Congress (APC) expression of interest and nomination forms to contest the 2023 presidential election on behalf of Jonathan at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Abuja, on Monday evening.
Jonathan, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), would later issue a statement late Monday night to say the forms were bought without his consent.
Commenting on the development, Omokri, who is a top ally of Jonathan, insinuated that the APC stories revolving round the Bayelsa-born politician, are untrue.
“Former President Jonathan has nothing to do with the reported purchase of some forms. He has an official spokesman and his own staff. He is a man of honour and will not do anything surreptitiously. The media and the public should be guided,” Omokri wrote on his verified Twitter handle.
