Ohanaeze: Obiozor does not speak for Igbo people – Simon Ekpa

Simon Ekpa, a self-styled disciple of Nnamdi Kanu, detained leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has said that the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Professor George Obiozor, “doesn’t speak for the people of Southeast”.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Ohanaeze Ndigbo is an Igbo socio-cultural organization in Nigeria which represents the interests of all Igbo communities within and outside the African nation.
According to Finlad-based Ekpa, “we (southeast people) don’t listen to him (Obiozor)”, because “he doesn’t represent us”.
This news medium had reported about Thursday’s meeting between Catriona Laing, the British high commissioner to Nigeria, and some southeast leaders, which included Obiozor. After the meeting, Laing stated that Ohanaeze Ndigbo is ‘committed to a united nation’ – a declaration Ekpa objected to.
“Tell @CatrionaLaing1that the man she is standing with doesn’t speak for the people of SouthEast, we don’t listen to him, he doesn’t represent us. We are demanding for the right to self-determination,” Ekpa wrote on his known Twitter account on Thursday night.
