Nnamdi Kanu’s Lawyer Replies Buhari On Recent IPOB Censures

Nnamdi Kanu Ejimakor

Aloy Ejimakor, lawyer to the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, on Friday said Nigeria’s international allies will not proscribe the separatist movement as a terrorist organization.

Newsbreak reports that Ejimakor’s comments are coming after President Muhammadu Buhari urged foreign allies to block IPOB from the international financial network.

The Nigerian leader had also recently told western allies that the pro-Biafra group is ‘involved’ in vandalism of pipelines and other infrastructures, adding that Kanu, a Nigerian-British, jumped bail during his first arrest some few years ago, thus won’t be considered for another one this time around.

Replying the president, Ejimakor wrote on his known Twitter handle: “RIGHT OF REPLY: In the past few days, the President has made IPOB & Nnamdi Kanu his main business, saying that: #IPOB blows up pipelines: Not true! #MNK jumped bail: Not true! Umuahia court settled it. The world should declare IPOB a terror group: It won’t happen! It’s not!”
