“Reservation Dogs” by FX has been renewed for a third season on Hulu

“Reservation Dogs” has been renewed for a third season. The FX series is broadcast exclusively on Hulu.

The news comes as the critically acclaimed series is still airing its second season. Season two will conclude on September 28. The third season is expected to begin in 2023.

“The Reservation Dogs series continues its incredible run with critics, fans, and awards in recognition of the unique brilliance of the series created by Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi,” said Nick Grad, FX’s Head of Original Programming. “FX is proud to join our partners at Hulu to order a third season featuring the amazing cast and all the artists who deliver one of the most creative, engaging, and funny shows on TV.”

The series focuses on four Native American teens who have come of age in a confinement in Oklahoma. D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Devery Jacobs, Paulina Alexis, and Lane Factor star in the series, with additional cast members including Elva Guerra, Sarah Podemski, Zahn McClarnon, and Dallas Goldtooth. The series was filmed on location in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. According to Per FX, every writer, director, and series regular on the show is Aboriginal.

“I couldn’t be more proud of this show I made with my friend Taika Waititi,” said Sterlin Harjo, one of the series’ co-creators. “It was born out of a conversation in Taika’s kitchen and has now made its way into the lives of people all over the world. The love for season 2 was amazing. Thank you to FX for ordering season three, excited to bring you more laughter and love from Rez. Ohoo!”

Harjo co-created “Reservation Dogs” with Taika Waititi. They both serve as executive producers alongside Garret Basch. Harjo also acts as a director and director on the show. FX Productions is the studio.
